Morukuru Family consists of 3 exclusive-use houses that operate independently, but can be booked together for larger families. We welcome children of all ages who can also join on game drives. Each house comes with 8-10 staff and private game drive vehicle.

Morukuru Family is located in a private concession inside Madikwe and is booked on a fully inclusive basis; all meals, drink and activities are included.

Luxury Family Safari

We were a family of 6 adults: grand parents, one recently married young couple, and one young married couple with a 2 1/2 year old, and 1 six month old, so the mix of competing desires/requirements was quite complicated. But we had Farm Lodge entirely to ourselves, So no competition from other guests and the undivided attention of the excellent staff - it means that you can make really good, if temporary, relationships with them so it feels like a home from home instead of being a transient passer-by. Evan, Ilse, Asion, Shadrach and Godfrey and all the other 'background' staff were fantastic, enormously flexible, hugely patient, welcoming, friendly and warm. Asion's food was brilliant - special purees for the baby, special meal and picnics for the toddler, and amazingly delicious meals for us. I think we've all put on pounds and pounds. The game viewing was superb and we saw rhino, cheetah, lion, elephant and buffalo, impala, kudu, springbok, steenbok, waterbuck, sable, nyala, warthogs, wildebeest, baboons, monkeys, scrub hares, banded mongoose, tree and ground squirrels and masses of bird life. The zoom lens on my camera was mostly redundant as Evan got us so close to the animals. In addition to the game drives and relaxing by the pool, the staff organised other excursions We loved breakfast in the bush and our last evening dinner in the bush on the ridge overlooking the plains below. We all spent one night each in the Hide, overlooking the water hole. Admittedly, none of us saw any game during our nights there, but one couple had the experience of a huge thunder and lightning storm - a natural son& lumber display - and being able to gaze out at the stars from the comfort of a huge bed through the film of all encompassing mozzie nets is pretty special. Our rooms were superbly comfortable. Thoroughly recommend the opportunity to have a bath in the bush. When not on game drives, the pool area is a great place to relax, and with a water hole on the edge of the garden, you can watch nyala and other animals coming to drink, as well as enjoy the many birds that flit through the garden. A huge area of the surrounding bush is fenced and so it's possible to explore this without a guide, as it's populated only bu non-predators. We were lucky and spent a week there. It was truly memorable and wonderful holiday. It's expensive but it's worth every penny. We had a very very very special time there.Luxury Family Safari
